Klasika

“Use what talents you possess; the woods would be

very silent

if no birds sang there.......”

The words of American poet and writer Henry Van Dyke remind us of what our young

artists accomplish when they delight us with the talents they share as they perform at

FMA’s Klasika Concerts. Founded in 1994, Klasika serves as a vehicle for recognizing

musically-trained members of the Filipino American community, and for promoting

classical and Filipino music.

We are calling all artists to share their talents with the community. Play the piano, guitar,

violin, viola, flute, cello. Sing solo. Do a duet. Be a trio. Remember, “........the woods

would be very silent if no birds sang there.......”
