Each year, the Fil-Minnesotan Association welcomes the young people from our community to participate in a traditional rite of passage which reflects part of our heritage from Spain. And while the meaning behind this tradition has changed in modern times, it still represents an opportunity for our young people to learn about Filipino culture & traditions, and join a sisterhood & brotherhood of Filipino Americans from the Twin Cities area who have participated in this event over the last 38 years.
